Seven months, Already!?!

Dylan is seven months old!  Where does the time go?  He is getting bigger and more personality.  He finally has tried that avacodo I've been promising him, but I didn't take any pictures.  He ate it, making a face with every bite.  It made me laugh.  He finally got to pet Pansy, my mom's cat.  He thought that was great.  He kept calling for her like he does to Gravy.  It is this high pitch squeal and then a little growl.  He always does that when he sees Gravy and then he did it when he saw Pansy, so I figured he wanted to pet her too.  I'll have to get a picture next time.  Anyway, here is last week:
Seven months and looking so big.

Can you tell Daddy takes the pictures?  He claims Dylan kept messing with the sticker when it was on his belly.

Playing in his new play thing.  I thought it would help Kelley work.  I got a different one for the shop too.

I love that fire truck sweater!

I love him in his carharts!

Kelley's shop cat got bit on the tail and he had to go to the vet.  Notice his shaved section on his tail.  He is the fluffiest cat in the world!

We were going to visit Auntie Chamaine, and cousins, but no one was home.  He still looked adorable in the shirt though.

On our way home from church on Sunday, he was fussing and when we got home he was asleep.  I guess he figured if he couldn't get the hat out of his eyes he might as well go to sleep.

Parade of Homes - St. George

Chamaine, Dylan, and I went down to the St. George Parade of Homes this last weekend.  It was fun to do.  We missed it last year.  We stayed with the Adams' in Virgin, and were treated like royalty.  We didn't take many pictures, but Dylan was a champ!  We started out around 10:30 am and didn't get back until 7 pm!  He only was able to sleep for about a half hour in the car.  We went to Oscar's for dinner and I hoped he would sleep while we were gone, but he woke up right after we left.  I don't think Sister Adams minded though, he was happy and they got to play then.  I had a really good burger, and Chamaine had a very spicy chicken enchillada.  We had a good time.  Here are the few pictures we took:

Chamaine, Me, and Dylan by a really nice pool at one of the fancy houses.

We really liked this idea.

Usually while you are at church, or while someone is praying.
Oh yeah, it was Valentine's Day on Thursday.  Kelley sent me flowers at work, and had a nice box of See's chocolates when I got home.  Gravy, of course can't leave the flowers alone.

This is why we call her "sniffles", she is alway sniffing things.
Here are some of the week's pictures Kelley sent me while I was at work.  I love having a smart phone, so I can see him everyday!
Smiley in the morning.

Posing for the camera.

Huh?

I'll chew on this while you get Gravy in position.
This is good enough.

Getting ready to go on a walk with mom!

Just a typical day with Dad

So here are last weeks pictures that Kelley sent to me while I was at work!
Playing with his new stuffed snake!

Just looking super cute in his overalls!

Getting Gravy kisses!

One day I'll really catch her.

Just cute

In the car with Dad, going to the shop to do some hard work.

Playing with all my favorite toys.

When I came home we thought we'd try some food, but realized we didn't have anything to mash so...
Let's try a pickle as my first food...

not my favorite...

well, let me think about it...

I guess it is ok.
We finally did try some baby food.  I did buy an avacado to mash, but I forgot to save some for Dylan and I made guacamole instead.  Maybe I'll remember to give him some more food soon.  It is just so much easier to just nurse him.

Your wait is finally over!

So many of my fans have asked me to start a blog to document the growth of baby Dylan and Gravy's love of him.  I have decided to comply!  I'll need to go back to the beginning so if I ever want to print this blog in a book it will make sense (chronologically at least).
Gravy, the cat, our first child, never liked children, or really even people.  I was very concerned about making her a "big sister", but decided that she had been an only child long enough.  She was very spoiled and liked her life just how it was.  She thoroughly enjoyed my growing belly, since she got a new perch to sit upon when we watched TV.  She did not enjoy that I took up more space in the bed and radiated a lot more heat, since it was the hottest summer on record in years and we did not have a/c.  Then the baby came! She at first ignored baby Dylan, and then tried to sit on my lap every time I was holding him.  She wanted to make sure I knew who was here first.  She has since become more accepting of him.  She will sit near him, and lets him touch her, even somewhat tolerates him when he grabs her fur.  No bites or scratches, yet.
I am going to put a whole bunch of pictures from the beginning until the present and then I'll try to update on a regular basis. So without further a do:

Gravy loving being an only child.

Dylan at one week
Dylan three weeks old!

Dylan in his blessing outfit, Sept 1, 2012.  (sorry, I don't know how to rotate the pic)

Two months old already!

Gravy and Dylan, around two months old.

Dylan three months old, dressed ready for church. I was so excited to dress him in this outfit.

Three months.  He is growing so fast.

Getting even bigger!

First Halloween!  Dylan fell asleep about fifteen minutes into it.

Super cute pic, of Dylan going on a walk.
Five months!

Gravy humoring Dylan.

Six months!

I don't know why my pictures have shifted to the side now.  Setting this blog up is a little annoying.  It might just be picutes and captions, since writing and uploading pictures is hard to create the layout.  I am so not computer saavy. At any rate, this is life so far!
